Dr. Nagaraj Kamath Achieves Remarkable Records in the Field of Ayurveda

Hassan: Dr. Nagaraj Kamath, Associate Professor in the Department of Kriya Sharira at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, has achieved several notable milestones in the fields of Ayurveda education, research, and digital technology, receiving recognition from various record-keeping organisations.

Recently, the book “Suchitra Kriya Shareera”, authored by Dr. Nagaraj Kamath, has received recognition as the World’s First Color Atlas on Kriya Shareera (Ayurvedic Physiology). According to the certificate issued by World Records Book of India, the work presents the subject of Ayurvedic physiology in a comprehensive and scientific manner through detailed colour illustrations. The achievement was recorded in Hassan on 21 February 2026.

The “Suchitra Kriya Shareera” atlas systematically presents fundamental and applied concepts related to Ayurvedic physiology through detailed visual representations. Designed to be useful for students, teachers, and researchers, the work combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern visual methods of academic presentation.

Earlier, Dr. Nagaraj Kamath developed “Kriya Sparsham,” a detailed Android learning application on Ayurvedic physiology, which was released on 16 March 2018. The application was developed with the objective of supporting the academic learning of undergraduate and postgraduate Ayurveda students and promoting the digitalisation of Ayurvedic education.

According to the certificate issued by the International Book of Records, Dr. Nagaraj Kamath achieved the world record of being the youngest author of a detailed Android application about Ayurvedic physiology on 18 March 2018 at Hassan. At the time of achieving the record, he was 28 years, 10 months and 8 days old.

Kalam’s World Records has also recognised and honoured Dr. Nagaraj Kamath for authoring the first detailed learning application on Ayurvedic physiology. Similarly, the certificate issued by Vajra World Records recognises Kriya Sparsham as the World’s First Detailed Android App on Ayurvedic Physiology.

Dr. Nagaraj Kamath has also made significant contributions to Ayurvedic research. According to the certificates issued by India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records, he published 50 research and review articles on Ayurveda in national and international research journals during the period from 15 March 2013 to 15 January 2015.

These publications appeared in various Ayurveda journals, including the International Ayurvedic Medical Journal, Journal of Ayurveda and Holistic Medicine, Unique Journal of Ayurveda and Herbal Medicines, Ayurveda and All, and Punarnav International Ayurvedic Journal, among others.

By integrating the fundamental subject of Kriya Sharira with digital technology, visual education, and research, Dr. Nagaraj Kamath has contributed a new dimension to Ayurveda education. His work through the World’s First Color Atlas on Kriya Shareera, a detailed digital learning application, and extensive research publications represents a distinctive academic contribution to the field of Ayurveda.

As an Associate Professor in the Department of Kriya Sharira at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, Dr. Nagaraj Kamath continues to contribute to academic, research, and technology-based educational initiatives. His achievements have added further recognition to the academic contributions of the institution and demonstrate an effort to connect India’s traditional system of medicine with modern educational and digital platforms.
