Hard-Fought Recovery: 21-Year-Old Fighter Makes Steady Comeback After Five Months in ICU at Parul Sevashram Hospital

Five months prior, the patient was admitted to the ICU, on a ventilator, in critical condition.

The patient was unable to breathe or move because of advanced Guillain-Barré Syndrome

and severe multidrug-resistant pneumonia. What followed was a difficult and uncertain

journey marked by recurrent infections, a collapsed lung, urinary issues, and several

attempts to liberate him from the ventilator. During this time, the hospital multidisciplinary
